2013 TSC Sport Summit focused on 'Building on the Dream'
Thanks to our special lunch speaker, Olympian and World Champion Hurdler Perdita Felicien, and to all attendees who supported the TSC Volunteer Recognition Awards as well as the Toronto Sports Council Athletes Fund. It is really wonderful to see the level of enthusiasm within the sport community.
Our many thanks to Tourism Toronto for their continuing support!
More than 150 people registered for the Toronto Sports Council 2013 Sports Summit, representing one hundred organizations (locally and provincially) as well as City of Toronto Councillors and staff, 2012 Ontario Summer Games representatives and the 2015 Pan Am Games office.
The agenda included a report on the Toronto Sports Council’s activities, a de-brief on the Ontario Summer Games, as well as updates from Tourism Toronto and upcoming Pan Am events.
As part of the morning session, participants were asked to provide feedback on developing an event hosting strategy, questions regarding the new TSC Emerging Athletes Fund, and how to connect Playing for Keeps to existing sport groups locally.
Group discussions were followed by a facilitated full-room discussion to share ideas and answers to focus questions.
A draft Comment Summary containing the feedback received during both the table and full room discussions is now available.
